My reed trio (with my ASU/UW friends Laura Medisky and Lesley Hughes) is playing our first recital this weekend. We’re preparing to record an audition DVD for the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and wanted to get in at least one public performance beforehand. We’ll be playing trios by Joseph Canteloube, Alexandre Tansman, and Heitor Villa-Lobos. If you’re in Madison, come check it out: Saturday, Feb. 21, 1:30p.m., Morphy Hall, UW-Madison.
Very nice! For future use, though, you might want to add some design elements that make it clear that what you’re promoting here is music and musicians. The names of the instruments are there, but you they’re kind of small. Even something simple like adding “woodwind trio” or “reed trio” to the group name, as a subhead would help get the point across.
